About us
Krook & Tjäder Architects has had an office in Copenhagen K since 2026. The establishment builds on several years of work in Denmark and strengthens our long-term presence in the market.
We work on complex projects within existing urban contexts, where architecture, cultural-historical values, and new functions are balanced with respect for the identity of the site and city life. Our work often takes its starting point in the dense, mixed city and explores how high-quality urban densification can develop based on existing structures.
The Copenhagen office is part of our Nordic organization and serves as a base for both ongoing and upcoming projects.
Among our projects in Denmark are the transformation of the former central post office into Villa Copenhagen, Ørkenfortet, the Grand Joanne hotel project, Comfort Hotel Copenhagen Airport, Marienlyst Strandhotel, as well as the urban development and transformation project Laksegadekvarteret in central Copenhagen.
Laksegadekvarteret Project Office
In connection with the development of Laksegadekvarteret, we also operate from a shared project office at Vingårdstræde 3 in Copenhagen. The project involves the transformation of 16 historic properties along Holmens Kanal, turning a former banking district into a new, open urban quarter.
The project is being developed by Thylander A/S in collaboration with KanAm Grund Group and a German pension fund. From the project office, the client, consultants, architects, and contractor coordinate closely to ensure an efficient process and strong collaboration throughout the implementation.
