SWEDEN GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL

The Sweden Green Building Council is an environmental sustainability classification system based on Sweden’s societal demands and regulations. It is primarily developed for residential and commercial buildings and is applicable to new construction and existing buildings alike. The system evaluates a building’s quality in terms of energy, indoor environment, and materials. As an accredited green building coordinator, Krook & Tjäder provides training in how the Green Building Council works and how sustainability performance measures should be analyzed, demonstrated, and evaluated.

BREEAM

BREEAM is one of the oldest sustainability classification systems and the most widely used of the international systems in Europe. In BREEAM, a property is evaluated on a number of performance measures in the areas of energy, materials, indoor environment, transportation, pollution, waste, water, and innovation.

As a BREEAM AP (Accredited Professional), Krook & Tjäder have specialist expertise in sustainability and environmental issues in combination with a thorough knowledge of the BREEAM performance evaluation process. As a BREEAM-accredited sustainability coordinator, we often serve as a specialist advisor on a development project team, coordinating and prioritizing so that the building will achieve the desired level of certification when it is formally assessed. In the role of design architect on a BREEAM project, therefore, we have the in-house expertise to ensure the environmental quality of the work we deliver and to contribute actively to the achievement of the project’s sustainability objectives.

QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENT

We have a well-established operations strategy that allows us to reliably live up to the demands and expectations that society and our clients set for us in terms of product quality, service, and responsiveness. In addition it generates benefits such as improved efficiency and profitability.

Krook & Tjäder is certified according to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015. Together with our accountants from LRQA, we work to expand our view from a client and stakeholder perspective and to focus on continual improvements.

WORK ENVIRONMENT COORDINATORS (BAS-P)

We care deeply about the working environment in our buildings, both during the construction process and for the future occupants. We have experts certified by the Swedish Work Environment Authority as Construction Work Environment Coordinators for Planning and Design (BAS-P), which allows us to take on that role as a consultant and informs our work on every project.

CONTROL OFFICIALS

Krook & Tjäder has in-house control officials certified by the National Board of Housing, Building and Planning (Boverket), an expertise required by the Planning and Building Act (PBL) for many construction, demolition, and site work projects.

ACCESSIBILITY

We always put people at the center of our work. Accessibility is therefore an important and natural part of our working processes. All people deserve consideration, but particularly children, the elderly, and those with physical disabilities. We want to contribute to building a sustainable society with beautiful and safe environments that are accessible to all regardless of physical ability.

For us at Krook & Tjäder, we take it as self-evident that every member of our staff must have a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation in the area of accessibility. We work with accessibility issues on a daily bases and have completed many projects with stringent accessibility requirements. As a result, we keep ourselves constantly updated on the applicable legislation.

We also have certified experts in accessibility, as defined by the act BFS 2011:18 – TIL2, who review others’ projects as consultants and ensure that every one of our own projects satisfies the relevant legal requirements.

 

KROOK & TJÄDER’S DATA AND PERSONAL INFORMATION PRIVACY POLICY

Below is a description of how Krook & Tjäder handle business and personal information in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

CLIENTS AND SUB-CONSULTANTS

Krook & Tjäder collect personal information for the purpose of providing our services in a way that is appropriate to the work. We also do it in order to improve the quality of our services, such as tracking statistics, evaluating our work, and quality control efforts. Krook & Tjäder also collects information for customer relations management and client events.  

We collect the following personal information: name, address, telephone number, email address, and position.

For an independent contractor, we collect the personal identity number, since it serves as the business’s corporate identity number.

Our handling of your personal information depends on the existence of a legal basis for that handling. Below is an explanation of the reason and legal grounds for our collection of your personal information.

To fulfill an agreement
We use information for invoicing, project administration, and communication via email.

To satisfy legal interests
Krook & Tjäder will keep your personal information on file as long as you are a client of the company. Personal information is saved for a period of 10 years, according to the standards established in the General Conditions of Contract for Consulting Agreements of 2009 (ABK09), of for as long as we see an opportunity for continued work through additional commissions. We also save information gathered through invoicing in accordance with bookkeeping laws and taxation issues.

To pursue business opportunities
Examples of this include fostering and managing client relationships and inviting both former and potential future clients to events.

VENDORS

Krook & Tjäder saves the contact information of vendors from whom we order regularly or intend to order. When such need is no longer current, we delete the information within at most one year. In Maconomy, our enterprise resource planning software, we save a vendor’s business information but no personal information.

RECRUITING

Your personal information will only be used at Krook & Tjäder by people working on the current recruitment. Personal information will be used for the purpose of recruitment. At the end of a recruitment, your personal information will be archived for use in the event of a hiring dispute in accordance with, for example, laws against workplace discrimination. When the potential to dispute a hiring decision has passed, your personal information will be deleted.  

The following personal information will be saved in our recruiting database: your CV, portfolio, cover letter, and other information you provide to us such as grades and certifications. In addition, we may save notes from interviews, conversations with your professional references, and the results of personality tests.

Cookies from a third party (such as Google Analytics or another tool) may also be used for analysis purposes and/or to increase traffic to the site and enhance the user experience of it.

If you don’t want cookies to be saved on your computer or would like to limit the use of such information, your web browser can in some cases allow you to opt out or to make your IP address anonymous. Krook & Tjäder save statistics from Google Analytics for a period of 36 months, after which personal information is deleted.

Krook & Tjäder assumes responsibility for respecting your rights in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. This means that, regardless of whether you are a client, subconsultant, recruit, vendor, or employee, you always have the right to:

  • be informed what personal information about you is being used by Krook & Tjäder;
  • contact us to have us correct any personal information about you that you consider to be incorrect or misleading;
  • request that we delete or limit your personal information if it is no longer relevant to the purposes for which it was collected and if there is no other legal grounds for using it;
  • request that you be provided with your personal information in an organized and legible format and that it be transferred from us to another personal data controller;
  • revoke your permission for Krook & Tjäder to use your personal information; and
  • contact us to stop your information being used for marketing purposes such as email invitations to client events.
